I initially started this blog to review the books I’ve read each month which turned to a monthly summary of the books I’ve read instead of the promised reviews. My priorities are currently everywhere and nowhere so I haven’t spent a lot of time in thoroughly reviewing the books I’ve read ever since. So let me just tell you something about this blog, it’s more of a hodgepodge of books, shows, hobbies, coffee, and other stuff that I occasionally update.
Let me just give you a brief background as to my blog’s name – Libro Pinas. My country, The Philippines was colonized by the Spaniards for more than 300 years and most of the words in our national language are Spanish hence the first name “libro” referring to book while “Pinas” is a shortened name of Pilipinas or Filipinas. I tried to be nationalistic but still failed to do so because I’m still using colonized words here. Heh. I’m not much of a writer but I wanted to become one someday with my dream of co-writing a children’s book with a good friend who will also draw it for me.
If this blog will in any way spark some interest on you to read, I’d be more than happy that you continue to read more and share more of what you’ve read as well to others Reading will always be my go to whenever I feel drained and I will never part with it no matter how difficult some materials are. Hopefully, many kids can read and will continue to read even with so many distractions in the modern world.
